Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Foundry Media Group when you use Secret Coffee Parties.
Last updated 16 September 2026
1. Agreement
Secret Coffee Parties is operated by Foundry Media Group, a trade name of SECRET MEDIA MIDDLE EAST INFORMATION SERVICES L.L.C (trade licence No. CN-4909459), C-19, M Floor, Al Markaziyah, Khalifa Bin Zayed First St., Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. By creating an account, publishing an event, or registering for one, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the platform.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your personal information and forms part of this agreement.
2. What the platform does
We provide the software that lets a host publish an event, share a link, and take registrations and ticket payments. We are not the organiser of any event listed here, we do not run events, and we are not a party to the arrangement between a host and a guest. Each event is the sole responsibility of the host who published it.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- The details you give us — your name, email address and phone number — must be accurate and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used fraudulently, or puts other users at risk.
4. Payments are processed by Stripe
All payments on this platform are processed by Stripe. When you buy a ticket, checkout takes place on Stripe’s own pages and your card details are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Ticket money is paid to the host through Stripe Connect and lands in the host’s own Stripe account, not in ours. We may deduct a platform fee from a ticket sale, which is shown to the host before the event goes on sale.
Using the platform to pay or to be paid also means accepting Stripe’s terms, published at stripe.com/legal. Hosts who connect a Stripe account are bound by the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, and Stripe decides independently whether to enable an account for charges and payouts. If Stripe holds, delays or reverses a payment, that is Stripe’s decision and outside our control.
Prices are shown in the currency set on the event page and include any taxes the host is required to charge. VAT is applied to our platform fees where the law requires it; our VAT registration number (TRN) is 104286310800003. Your bank may add its own currency-conversion charges, which we do not receive and cannot refund.
5. Zero refund policy
All ticket sales are final. We operate a zero refund policy: no refunds, no cancellations and no exchanges, for any reason.
This applies without exception to:
- Changing your mind, double-booking, or buying the wrong ticket or quantity.
- Not being able to attend, arriving late, or leaving early.
- Being refused entry, or being removed, for breaking a host’s rules.
- An event that turns out to be different from what you expected.
- An event that is rescheduled, relocated, cut short or cancelled by the host.
SECRET MEDIA MIDDLE EAST INFORMATION SERVICES L.L.C does not issue refunds and does not hold ticket money — it goes to the host. If a host cancels or changes an event, any goodwill arrangement is a matter between you and that host, made at the host’s sole discretion. Some hosts choose to publish their own refund policy on their event page; where they do, that promise is the host’s alone and does not bind us or oblige us to pay anything.
Read the event page and the host’s terms before you pay. By completing checkout you confirm that you have read this clause and accept that your purchase is non-refundable.
6. Chargebacks
Because all sales are final, raising a chargeback or payment dispute in place of contacting the host is a breach of these terms. We will provide the host and the payment provider with the registration and ticket records for the transaction, and we may suspend an account that files an unfounded dispute.
7. If you host an event
When you publish an event you are responsible for it, and you confirm that:
- The details you publish are accurate, and you will tell your guests promptly if anything changes.
- You hold whatever permissions, licences and insurance the event needs, and you will run it safely and lawfully.
- You own or have the right to use everything you upload, including images and text.
- You will handle guest details — names, email addresses and phone numbers — only to run your event, and in line with applicable data protection law.
- You will honour the tickets you sell and deal with your guests fairly and directly.
You indemnify SECRET MEDIA MIDDLE EAST INFORMATION SERVICES L.L.C against any claim, loss or cost arising from an event you host or from your breach of these terms.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use the platform to:
- Break the law, or promote anything illegal or unsafe.
- Publish content that is misleading, hateful, abusive, obscene or infringing.
- Sell tickets to an event you do not intend to run, or otherwise defraud guests.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Scrape, overload, probe or interfere with the platform or its security.
- Collect other users’ personal information for purposes of your own.
We may take down an event or close an account that breaks these rules, without notice where the risk to others requires it.
9. Content you publish
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content for the purpose of running the platform — showing your event page, listing it on Discover, and including it in service emails. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already in backups or required for our records.
10. Availability
We work to keep the platform running, but it is provided “as is” and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we may perform maintenance that makes it briefly unavailable.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SECRET MEDIA MIDDLE EAST INFORMATION SERVICES L.L.C is not liable for anything that happens at or because of an event, for a host’s acts or omissions, for a guest’s conduct, or for indirect or consequential loss of any kind, including lost profits, lost data, or travel and accommodation costs.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the platform fees we actually received from you for the transaction the claim relates to.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to exclude.
12. Ending this agreement
You may stop using the platform and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms. Closing an account does not entitle you to a refund of anything already paid, and it does not cancel your obligations to guests who hold tickets to your events.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform changes. The date at the top of this page tells you when the current version took effect. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
